My first experience in the entertainment field was on stage in my mom's belly during a community performance of the play "Cactus Flower" in Morocco, Africa. Since then I've continued to keep behind the scenes and in the dark.
After getting my feet wet on a few East Coast Interdependent films, I attended film school (well, film schools) and eventually graduated with a Theatre design Degree with a focus on Stage Lighting.
I stayed in the Washington DC area with my husband for a few years, working mostly as an Avid editor for corporate clients before deciding it was time to head for LA. The move out West brought me to my current place of employment, the growing boutique rental house Imagecraft Productions, in beautiful downtown Burbank.
It was here that I realized the need for a guide to grip and electric gear for those of us who aren't out in the field everyday. With their support, I've been able to talk to dozens of gaffers and grips about their field, and believe I have gathered one of the most comprehensive compendiums of stands, clamps and globes around.
